Constand is one of around 60 women who have accused Cosby of sexually violating them but the prosecution has gone ahead on just Constand's allegations due to the statute of limitations passing for almost every other of those claims.
"I wasn't able to", Constand said, answering Feden's questions why she didn't tell him to stop or to push him away.
She met Cosby at Temple University in Philly where he was one of its most famous alumni and Constand was director of basketball operations.
Sewell said they didn't go to police at the time because her husband, a Los Angeles detective, feared the ordeal that would ensue.
Constand said it was just business concerning the university basketball team. "I felt humiliated and I felt confused", she continued.
"I'm not here for that. I don't want that". The former Cosby Show actor walked her to the door, the two kissed "cheek-to-cheek" and Constand returned to her room where she called supposed girlfriend Williams, Cosby's lawyer said.
Constand broke her long silence on Tuesday in court with a graphic account of the night she was allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted by Bill Cosby.
"You hadn't told the officers that previously you had gone to Mr. Cosby's home, and had wine and sat by a fire", Agrusa said.
"Ma'am I was mistaken, it was 2002", Constand said.
Twenty minutes later, Constand said, she slurred her words, had trouble seeing, her mouth felt cottony, and she had trouble walking.
"You knew Cosby was a married man, right?" she asked.
The 79-year-old Cosby is charged with drugging and violating Constand at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004. If he's convicted, Cosby faces up to 10 years in prison on each of three felony counts and up to $25,000 in fines.
Cosby arrived at the courthouse Wednesday accompanied by actress Sheila Frazier, who co-starred in the 1978 comedy "California Suite".
Agrusa has also focused on several discrepancies in a series of police interviews Constand gave in 2005 when she first reported the crime, including shifting estimates of when the assault actually occurred.
Defense attorney Angela Agrusa suggested that Constand invited Cosby's romantic overtures because she hoped it would help her professional development. The gifts, she said, included hats, T-shirts and "some bath salts for him and his wife".
She'd never before spoken publicly about what happened between them, barred from doing so by the terms of a confidential settlement they reached in 2006.
Some 60 women have come forward to say Cosby sexually violated them, but the statute of limitations for prosecution had run out in almost every case.
Constand did file a lawsuit in 2005 shortly after prosecutors initially decided not to bring a case against Cosby. "Somebody I trusted. A mentor". She says she made it clear she didn't welcome the behavior.
"There was a lot of confusion trying to put a lot of dates together", Constand said Tuesday.
