BREAKING: Right-Wing Activists Jack Posobiec and Laura Loomer Rush Stage, Disrupt Controversial Rendition of ‘Julius Caesar’

A production in New York’s Central Park has become a national flashpoint for its depiction of the stabbing assassination of its Trump-like title character

June 17 Two people who disrupted a controversial NY production of Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar" took to social media on Saturday to defend their protest of the performance that portrays the assassinated Roman leader with an actor costumed to resemble U.S. President Donald Trump.

Loomer, 24, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass. She and Posobiec have contributed to The Rebel Media, a right-wing website.

She was released but asked to appear in court to respond to the charges at a later date. "This is unacceptable. this is violent!"

Conspiracy theorist and former Citizens for Trump special projects director Jack Posobiec captured the meager protest on video.

Posobiec suddenly stood up and shouted at the actors and/or the audience: "You are all Goebbels!" "You are all Nazis", he began shouting.

Johanna Konta breezes past Magdalena Rybarikova to make final
Top seed Konta, 26, maintained her record of having yet to drop a set in the tournament as she closed in on her first WTA title on home soil.

"The blood of Steve Scalise is on your hands", Posobiec said, in reference to the congressman shot by a gunman during congressional baseball practice Wednesday.

Because the 400-year-old play sees Julius Caesar assassinated by members of the Roman Senate - and thus, in this production, it's the Trump-esque figure who meets an untimely demise - the Public Theater's staging has drawn condemnation from news outlets such as Breitbart and Fox News and lost the support of two corporate sponsors as a result. Teagle F. Bougere, center right, plays as Casca and Elizabeth Marvel, right, as Marc Anthony.

In a statement, the Public Theater said the show was stopped for "less than a minute" and credited Public Theater stage manager for handling the incident "beautifully". The staff removed the protesters peacefully, and the show resumed with the line "Liberty!"

"Today we took the fight for free speech to the heart of left-wing terrorist radicalization", Posobiec told TheDC. Indeed, quite the opposite: the gory stabbing of Caesar-Trump (subtly played by Gregg Henry) was horrific, eliciting audible gasps from the crowd; a woman sitting near me covered her face.

Show officials announce that the show would pause as they tried to get Loomer off of the stage. The Theater's interpretation of the Shakespeare classic-which features a blonde-haired, cellphone-addicted Caesar with intentional similarities to Donald Trump-has whipped up a healthy head of controversy in recent weeks, with Delta Airlines and Bank Of America pulling funding for the show, and desperate finger-pointers jabbing at it as an "inspiration" for the shootings in Alexandria this week.
