"I said I trust you", she recalled saying at the time.

Andrea Constand accused Bill Cosby of sexually assaulting her back in 2004, and today, she took the witness stand to share her story with the jury in Cosby's trial.

Cosby faces a 10-year prison term if convicted.

Cosby reportedly hung his head in hands during Constand's testimony, as well as rolled his eyes and shook his head. "We have a collective imagination of all of the characters they portray and, because of that, we think that we really know them", Assistant District Attorney Kristen Feden said. "They're your friends; they'll take the edge off", she said. During one of those subsequent conversations, Constand said, Cosby was evasive when she asked him about the type of pills he'd given her.

She testified she felt frozen and wasn't able to fight in any way - but she wanted it to stop. Constand said the calls mostly concerned the women's basketball team. Constand, whose testimony marked the first time she had spoken publicly about the incident, claimed she tried to stop Cosby from violating her body, but she found herself incapacitated, reports Deadline.com. "I began to slur my words and I told Mr. Cosby that I had trouble seeing him and I was seeing two of him", she testified.

Some 60 women have come forward to say Cosby sexually violated them, all but destroying his nice-guy image on screen and off, but the statute of limitations for prosecution had run out in almost every case. Constand's case is the only one in which Cosby has been charged.

According to WHYY reporter Laura Benshoff, who spoke with NPR's All Things Considered, Constand described meeting Cosby at a Temple basketball game, where he inquired about some facilities in the women's locker room.

Pulliam has defended him in the past and in an interview with Access Hollywood, she told the public to hold their judgment.

UK Government scrambles to limit fallout from London fire
He said: "As the mayor of London I will do my bit to be the advocate, to be the fighter, and to be the champion of these people". Officials are using dental records, fingerprints and DNA samples to try and positively identify victims.

"You hadn't told the officers that previously you had gone to Mr. Cosby's home, and had wine and sat by a fire", Agrusa said.

Sewell, who prosecutors hoped would help corroborate Johnson's story, said they didn't go to police at the time because her husband, a Los Angeles detective, feared the ordeal that would ensue. She claimed she was then jolted awake and felt Cosby's hand groping her breast under her shirt, then groping her genitals. "I said, 'I'm not here for that, I don't want that'".

The admission came as Cosby's lawyers worked to undermine the account of Andrea Constand, who says the entertainer drugged and abused her at his Philadelphia-area home in January 2004. "And I believed he supported numerous athletic programs".

"Yes", replied Constand, though she said the bath salts were not from her, but from a friend.

But then the full effect of the pills struck the former college hoops star and she began to feel drowsy.

"It was a very big burden on me, but". "And it was sometime between 4 and 5 [a.m.] and I needed to get home because I had to go to work".

In cross-examination, defense lawyer Angela Agrusa sought to expose inconsistencies in Constand's testimony, highlighting an initial declaration to police that she had never otherwise been alone with Cosby.
