The jury in Bill Cosby's sexual assault case ended a fifth day of deliberations Friday without reaching a verdict, testing the patience of defense lawyers and even the judge as it struggled to break a deadlock by making repeated runs through testimony given by the TV star, his accuser and others.

After six days of deliberation, the case has ended in a mistrial and Cosby will walk away a free man.

Cosby was charged with drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand, the former director of operations for Temple University's women's basketball team, at his home near Philadelphia in January 2004. He is accused of assaulting Andrea Constand without her consent, assaulting her when she was unconscious and assaulting her using drugs to substantially impair her ability to consent in his home outside of Philadelphia, in Elkins Park, in early 2004.

She also did not mention that cheating Cosby himself in his own previous agreement with Constand admitted he provided her with pills to relax and engaged in sex with her. A judge declared a mistrial Saturday.

Read Camille Cosby's full statement about her husband's mistrial below. She issued a statement calling District Attorney Kevin Steele "heinously and exploitively ambitious".

While 44-year-old Constand is praying for justice the District Attorney in Norristown, Pa., the only prosecutor to take a drugging and rape case against Cosby to trial, says he will purse a new trial. "If I am called upon to do my civic duty, I will do it", she said.

"She's a very spiritual woman, she believes things happen for a goal, and I think the objective is.it should encourage other women to come forward and have their day in court". He still faces several civil lawsuits from at least 10 accusers. This was the only case to result in criminal charges against Cosby. He became an in-demand product endorser, appearing in commercials for Jell-O, Coca-Cola and Ford.

Curry to pass on White House celebration visit
After losing in the NBA Finals to the Golden State Warriors , LeBron James had some interesting comments for the media. Later, he was straightforward and serious: "We were heartbroken last year, but this year was our turn".

But the reputation of Cosby, known as America's Dad for his role on the television series, The Cosby Show, remains in tatters after a slew of sexual assault allegations from about 60 women.

Cosby was the first black actor to star in a network show, I Spy, in the 1960s and created The Cosby Show two decades later. "I'm sorry it's causing everyone frustration, but the law requires that I allow a deliberating jury to continue to deliberate".

Cosby's accuser described in court how he gave her pills then sexually assaulted her as she lay paralysed on a couch, unable to tell him to stop.

He did not give evidence, leaving it to his lawyer Brian McMonagle to argue Cosby and Constand were lovers and the encounter was consensual.

The jurors also asked the court to define a phrase in one of the charges, to define "reasonable doubt" and to rehear what a detective testified to about Cosby's interview with police in 2005. Cosby chose not to testify at trial. The judge instructed them to keep working, but despite marathon 12-hour sessions, the jury said on Saturday it was at an impasse.

Some on social media took issue with Wyatt's victorious reaction to the mistrial. "And that in itself is a hard defamation case".

The statement also sharply criticised the judge and prosecutors for pursuing the case. "I hope that the prosecution will try this case again".
