There's a fight of the century over the fight of the century. with two major sporting events vying for the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on August 26th.

The super-fight is tipped to be the richest in history, exceeding the $600m generated by Mayweather's 2015 bout with Manny Pacquiao, but Hatton says it holds little appeal to him. I hope I don't upset any Irish fans or Conor, but I can't get excited about this fight one bit.

Boxing's last undisputed heavyweight champion believes it's "ridiculous" to put arguably the greatest boxer of the modern era against a fighter from a different sport.

So after months of going back and forth, it's all the more surprising that Mayweather's initial comments following the fight's official announcement this week were relatively mild, even respectful of his MMA-trained opponent. I think it could be a 12-round onslaught, to be honest with you.

"People telling me Mayweather will have his hands full trying to land on McGregor -STOP IT!"

"I can not say I'm a fan of it", Hatton told BBC Radio 5 live's Sportsweek programme.
