Hodgkinson told the YMCA on Tuesday that he wanted to cancel his membership because he was moving, the YMCA said in a statement.

The Republicans had been holding early morning practices for weeks at the Alexandria, Va., field for the annual baseball game on Thursday against Democratic lawmakers.

Hodgkinson's wife told media members this week that she was shocked by the actions of her estranged husband.

The FBI has said Hodgkinson left IL for the D.C. area, apparently to protest Trump's policies. He is more responsive, and is speaking with his loved ones.

James Hodgkinson was an ardent Bernie Sanders (I-VT) supporter, and in a speech on the floor, a visibly shaken Senator Sanders declared "violence of any kind is unacceptable". By Tuesday, he seemed ready to come home, asking a mechanic to make sure his tires would survive the trip back to IL. And it was at that auto shop that his anger flared during small talk with the mechanic. Hodgkinson died after being wounded by return fire.

"It was more than the average person who had maybe voted for Hillary".

Once recovered, Mr Scalise will be able to walk and hopefully run, the doctor said. Hodgkinson's Facebook page is filled with vitriolic rants against the Republican Party and he belonged to a Facebook group entitled "Terminate The Republican Party". As I walk across the parking lot to the auto, a gentleman approaches me and says, 'Can you tell me, the team today, is that Democrats or Republicans?' I told him it was the Republicans and he said, 'OK, thanks, ' and turned around.

He had with him a piece of paper with doodles and the names of three politicians, according to a person familiar with the case.

Curry to pass on White House celebration visit
After losing in the NBA Finals to the Golden State Warriors , LeBron James had some interesting comments for the media. Later, he was straightforward and serious: "We were heartbroken last year, but this year was our turn".

The congressmen named on the list were notified by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Daily Caller reported. He was a fiery guy, known for the occasional bar fight.

The gunman, identified by a senior US official as James Hodgkinson, 66, from the St. Louis suburb of Belleville, Ill., died of his injuries. In the past, neighbors had complained about him shooting guns near their home.

Former Alexandria Mayor Bill Euille, who chatted with Hodgkinson at the gym, said he assumed the man was homeless because he wore pretty much the same outfit every day and carried a bag full of extra clothes.

Fox News reported that GOP Reps.

Back in IL at least one friend of Hodgkinson - who didn't give his full name - defended him, saying, "I just want to let people know he wasn't evil, that he was exhausted of some of the politics going on". "I can't wrap my head around it", Sue Hodgkinson said. Even his email address was basic: hodg@att.net. "But he never really implied one way or the other that he was pro-Democrat, anti-GOP Republican or anything like that".

Stephen Brennwald, another YMCA member, said he never saw Hodgkinson talk to anyone and figured the man was a "loner".

No staff members noticed any "inappropriate or unusual behavior" and no one complained about him, the YMCA said. "I have never said 'life sucks, ' only the policies of the Republicans", he wrote in another.

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, who was present at the shooting, commended the Capitol Police for their protection and quick response. "He said, 'O.K., thanks, ' turned around". People who just use overheated political rhetoric, or who happen to share the gunman's opinions, should be nowhere on the list.
