Tim Hague dies at 33 after being knocked out in boxing match

A month later Hague was throwing caution to the wind by heading into the boxing ring, losing by unanimous decision, and then was TKO'd in another bout in the squared circle at the end of the year. "He had to have surgery to relieve pressure from his brain".

An Edmonton MMA fighter who was left in critical condition after being knocked out during a boxing match on Friday has died, his family has confirmed.

A video on YouTube that purports to be of the fight shows Hague lying still on his back on the canvas after taking a punch to his head from Braidwood.

Not a lot of information other than the situation being really serious has been released as of now.

Close friend and fellow MMA fighter Cody Krahn wrote: "As many of you know Tim suffered a severe knockout in his boxing match". He used to be a kindergarten teacher before transitioning into mixed martial arts and UFC fighting.

Talks on DUP support for minority UK govt, to continue
Now May is seeking to gain the support of the 10 DUP MPs , who have become unlikely kingmakers following last week's vote. The DUP and Sinn Fein are taking part in Thursday's talks at Downing Street, along with smaller parties.

Hague would eventually be able to slowly make his way out of the ring under his own steam, but backstage it quickly became clear that something wasn't right and he was rushed to hospital, where he'd immediately undergo sugery for bleeding on the brain.

'Tim is now in a coma.

Hague injury may serve to raise concerns ahead of the contest, with McGregor set to take to the ring with one of the most accomplished boxers of all time. But after that loss, with a 10-4 record overall and 1-3 in the promotion, he was let go again.

His last fight in boxing resulted in a knockout in December.

He holds a career MMA record of 21-13 and fought in the heavyweight division of the UFC from 2009 through 2011.
