United boss Jose Mourinho has put Morata at the top of his wanted list as he looks to draft in a new striker, and is reported to have already failed with one bid in the region of £54million.

While it's noted in the report that Morata has agreed on personal terms with the Red Devils, it's claimed that Abramovich is ready to sanction a staggering £70m bid for the Spanish worldwide to try and tempt him to turn down Man Utd and in turn accept a move to Stamford Bridge instead.

Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on rumours that the club could snatch Alvaro Morata from Manchester United's clutches.

Morata, in an interview, said, "I feel indebted to him (Conte) because he's the coach that most trusted in me, who made me feel I could perform at the highest level".

The Italian apparently sees the 24-year-old Real striker as the ideal replacement for Diego Costa.

Manchester United launch £30m bid for Benfica ace Nelson Semedo
United will take in a International Champions Cup derby date with City on July 20 in Houston. In turn, Mourinho and company sealed a spot in the Champions League.

Los Blancos are believed to be reluctant to sell the player for purely a fee, however, and would rather initiate a swap deal should they allow Morata to leave.

Lacazette was considering a move to Atletico Madrid but since they were handed a 6 month transfer ban, he now has to find another option.

"I remember talking to my dad then and him saying: 'This guy's going to win the league there'".

Their need is even more pressing after Zlatan Ibrahimovic's departure, with the 35-year-old having netted 17 of those goals.

Antonio Conte, manager of the Premier League champions, signed Morata for Juventus in 2014 but left before he arrived. And yet I've never had the fortune to actually work with him.
