Delhi University announces first cut-off list

Delhi University Admission 2017 First cut-off list to be out today

According to University officials, the poor results of state boards, including Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, led to the drop in cut-offs this year. The admissions for the University and the affiliated colleges will depend upon the score obtained by the student.

St Stephen's College released its first list on June 14 for undergraduate programmes, with the highest cut-off point of 98.5 percent marks being reserved for English and Economics. This was slightly lower for both the subjects from previous year which was 98 and 98.25 percent respectively.

"This year, we announced the cut-offs after carefully examining the data provided by the university".

"The number of students seeking admission picks up on the third day of the admission, which is the last day to get admission under the first list". The cut-off for English (hons) is same as past year at 97 pc.

Cut-offs for courses in Hindi and Sanskrit (Honours) hovered within an achievable 60-70 percent for most colleges.

The admission process shall begin from June 24, the DU registrar said in a release. The second list will be issued on July 1. The admission will start only on Saturday. And the second document verification and admission procedure will be carried out from 1st to 4th July 2017. Subsequently, if the admission of the particular candidate is approved, students can then log on to the online admission portal to complete the other activities, including payment for admission.
