Jose Mourinho reacts to Romelu Lukaku and Marouane Fellaini injury concerns
12 October 2017, 08:35 | Sandy Nunez
Belgium star Marouane Fellaini has enjoyed an impressive season to date for Manchester United
And there was a fear Romelu Lukaku had also suffered an ankle injury during United's 4-0 win against Crystal Palace before he was called up by Roberto Martinez - despite Belgium already qualifying for the World Cup.
However, the United boss has played down Fellaini's absence and insists the club "don't cry" about injuries as he has full faith in the players that come in for those on the sidelines.
'If he doesn't play, I will play another one'. With Martinez declaring that Lukaku is a 100 percent fit to start, Mourinho will certainly hope that the injury gods don't conspire against him with Marouane Fellaini out for 3 weeks with a knee injury. We lost players this season.
Mourinho has warned Liverpool that United are stronger this season because of the additions of Lukaku and Nemanja Matic. If they respect me as much as I respect them, we are going to have another one of those matches.
Mourinho's Manchester United team have been in superb form so far this season after having won six of their opening seven Premier League games.
Fellaini had been in fine form heading in to the global break and scored twice during the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace last time out so many thought the news would come a disappointment to Mourinho. But heading into their clash with Cyprus on Tuesday, Mourinho was hoping Martinez didn't play Lukaku - especially with their crunch match against Liverpool on Saturday lunchtime.
He's become an important part of Mourinho's plans, but the Portuguese isn't anxious about players missing through injury.
