This week, a 2011 video of Jason Momoa uttering a tasteless joke began making its rounds around the web again.
That now includes actor Jason Momoa, made famous by his role as the burly Dothraki lord Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones. During a press conference to promote "Game of Thrones", the actor allegedly said that being able to "rape handsome women" as Khal Drogo is what he loved most in working for the series. Perhaps he sees that in even more stark relief in light of the accusations his Justice League costar Ben Affleck is facing.
"There's so many things you can do, like rip someone's tongue out of their throat and get away with it. rape a handsome woman, you know?"
Fans were quick to point out the said encounter after the "Argo" actor responded to sexual assault allegations pressed against Harvey Weinstein. Momoa is on stage with a number of his co-stars, including Peter Dinklage and Emilia Clarke, and is commenting on the kind of extreme violence featured in the show. "But the good news was I'm not a rapist". Discussing the film in a 2014 interview with Entertainment Weekly he said, "The biggest thing is that I'm a father, and a husband, and a son, and a grandson".
