ZTE sub-brand Nubia has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of two new camera-centric smartphones, namely, Nubia Z17S and Z17 miniS in the Chinese market.

Even though that sound a bit ridiculous, but I guess everyone is entitled to their own perspectives, even if they are irrational.

The ZTE Nubia Z17 miniS is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor and it comes with 6GB of RAM. Selfie addicts need not worry, as ZTE offers a 16 MP front-facing camera accompanied by a 5 MP depth sensor.

Moving on to the Nubia Z17 miniS, the handset comes with mid-range specifications whilst highlighting four cameras - two at the back and two at the front. The body of the device is made out of airplane-grade aluminum alloy with curved corners. "For the rear, it has a 12-megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX362 sensor, 1.4μm pixel size, f/1.8 aperture, 1/2.55" CMOS sensor, dual-tone LED flash and a 23-megapixel auxiliary camera Sony IMX318 sensor, f/2.0 aperture. It comes with dual camera setup at both front and the back. The Z17S with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at RMB 3,999, which is around Rs 39,400 plus on conversion. The dual camera setup utilizes an RGB and monochrome sensor to deliver better results in low-light conditions. Fuelling the device is a 3100mAh battery with support for fast charging. Runs on the company's Nubia UI 5.1 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It features a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080p) display. The device has 6 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. It operates on Nubia UI 5.0 based on Android 7.1 Nougat.

All these aforementioned variants or models are now available for pre-order, while the smartphones will be going on sale in China starting October 19 in Black, Blue (for Nubia Z17S), Black Gold, Deep Blue and Aegean Blue colour options (for Nubia Z17 miniS). On the battery front, the Nubia Z17 miniS gets its strength from a 3,200mAh non-removable battery. Besides, the smartphone offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Type C and NFC. It measures 147.50 x 71.20 x 7.60 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 155.00 grams.
