Proclamations against Hussain, Hasan Nawaz pasted in accountability court
Pakistan's ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif will not appear before an anti-corruption court here today to face indictment in the Panama Papers case as he is in London with his ailing wife, a senior leader has said.
Meanwhile, Retired Captain Muhammad Safdar, the son-in-law of the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday approached the Islamabad High Court against his and wife Maryam Nawaz's scheduled indictment in a graft reference.
The lawyers alleged that they were manhandled by the security forces outside the court and prevented them from entering the courtroom.
"I will request the Interior Ministry to inquire into the incident", she said.
Nawaz Sharif, Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz are nominated in references regarding Park Lane apartments, Al Azizia Steel Mills and offshore companies, while Maryam Nawaz and her husband Capt (retd) Safdar are nominated in reference regarding Park Lane apartments.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) registered three cases of corruption and money laundering against Sharif, his family members and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in the Islamabad Accountability Court following the verdict.
The police had only allowed selected persons to enter the complex.

Earlier, the court was informed about Nawaz Sharif's absence.
Sharif, his daughter, his son-in-law, and his two sons face corruption allegations stemming from an investigation into documents leaked from a Panama law firm that indicated that Sharif and some of his family members had undisclosed assets overseas.
In the notice, both the respondents have been directed to appear before the court within 30 days.
