New Mutants trailer release announced

The New Mutants hits theaters on April 13th, 2018. True to the advance word on the film, you won't find any costumes here, nor any familiar X-Men.

Twentieth Century Fox unveiled the teaser trailer for New Mutants, which you can watch above, after director Josh Boone teased its release on Instagram. Little is known about the film as of yet, but fans do know it will see a group of mutants forced into a secret facility. Inspired by the legendary "Demon Bear Saga", created by comic book greats Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, it promises to transport X-Men fans into one of the most terrifying superhero films to date.

Judging from this first teaser trailer, it sure looks like they've succeeded.

Similar to how Logan scaled back all of the grand, apocalyptic story elements scattered across Fox's core X-Men franchise, Josh Boone's spinoff sets itself apart as an intimate, relatively self-contained pic about five gifted teenagers who aren't trying to save the world so much as they're trying to save themselves.

UFC Winnipeg Headlined by Robbie Lawler vs. Rafael dos Anjos
Cirkunov had won eight fights in a row before being knocked out in 28 seconds by Volkan Oezdemir on May 28th in Stockholm. Lawler recently got back in the win column after a high-profile setback, outpointing Donald Cerrone in July at UFC 214.

We don't know a whole lot about the film so far, but what we do know suggests that it will be quite different from anything we've seen before.

Starring Anya Taylor-Joy (Split), Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones), Blu Hunt (The Originals), Henry Zaga (13 Reasons Why), Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things), and Alice Braga (I Am Legend).

New Mutants now has a 3.55 out of 5 ComicBook.com User Anticipation Rating, making it the seventeenth most anticipated upcoming comic book movie among ComicBook.com readers.
