Twenty-five firms with offices in Atlanta-including seven headquartered here-are among the Am Law 100 and 200 firms that achieved a ideal score Thursday on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's annual Corporate Equality Index. "As we celebrate our second straight year of receiving a ideal score, we continue to dedicate ourselves to creating a workplace where our people can thrive both personally and professionally". "Earning a ideal score on the HRCCorporate Equality Index is an indicator that our efforts have been both successful and meaningful".
Working with HCSC's Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI), which manages diversity and inclusion initiatives in the workplace, Pride Alliance helped introduce an online provider directory in October 2017, through GLMA: Health Professionals Advancing LGBT Equality, to provide information and resources to LGBTQ members and their families. The data collected stems from corporate practices ensuring work place equality for any employee that considers themselves lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer. "We will continue to focus on and make the necessary investments to meet the challenges and opportunities going forward".
"I couldn't be more proud to receive this honor for the third year in a row", said Jovita Foster, partner and chair of the Armstrong Teasdale Inclusion Committee. Of those respondents, 127 firms received a flawless score, making it the most-represented industry among ideal scorers, the Human Rights Campaign said. Ameriprise received a flawless score by satisfying all criteria within five categories to once again earn a "Best Place to Work" designation for LGBTQ equality.
Judge Roy Moore, Joseph and Mary! Weird, even for Alabama
Cory Gardner, R-Colo., echoed McConnell's call for Moore to withdraw if the allegations are true, calling them "deeply troubling". The explosive allegations against the head of the Foundation for Moral Law are reported by the Washington Post .
In October, the HRC gave Louisville a ideal score of 100 for the third straight year in its Municipal Equality Index report measuring laws, services and leadership that promote the inclusion of LGBTQ individuals.
The legal industry is often criticized for its lack of diversity. Armstrong Teasdale is listed in the Am Law 200, published by The American Lawyer, and the NLJ 250, published by The National Law Journal.
