Some Google Pixel 2 XL smartphones cannot register taps along the edges of the display

Some Pixel 2 XL touchscreens are unresponsive near the edges, but a fix is coming

Now there's a new bug to add to the list: unresponsive spots near the edge of the screen. Several users have complained on Google's official forum and some have even documented it in a video. "No transcription of my voice appears, and Assistant doesn't do anything, and eventually goes back to sleep", a Pixel 2 user wrote on the forum.

Just when we thought Google was done for good with the flashing screen and microphone issue, there seems to have cropped up yet another issue that's plaguing the Pixel 2 XL.

Brandon Jones and Trey Perry posted videos showing that touches to the edge of each unit's display don't register.

RSS man hacked to death in Kerala
Infuriated with the recent killings, the state's BJP and RSS workers have called for a complete shutdown on Monday in Guruvayur. Preliminary reports said a vehicle carrying a group of four men rammed into Anand's motorbike at about 1.15 pm.

There have been multiple bugs reports in Google's PIxel 2 and Pixel 2 XL devices since their launch. Members of the Pixel User Community website are reporting that the screen has little or no responsiveness at its edges, resulting in certain taps or gestures going unrecognized. Android Police stated that the real culprit is the device's accidental touch protection feature, which can sometimes be over the top. He revealed that Google is now working on a fix to solve the problem.

Pixel Community manager Orrin has followed-up with a comment that Google is looking into the issue, and plans to release a fix in an upcoming over-the-air update.

Earlier, this week, Google had issued updates to some of the bugs.
