Actor Tom Sizemore was kicked off a film set in 2003 after he was accused of fondling an 11-year-old girl, it was revealed Monday.
According to the report of The Hollywood Reporter, Sizemore continued his shooting in Malibu after a few months when the young actress' parents refused to expose him with the help of the press.
THR describes a cast and crew - including producers - who were sickened and aghast at what was being alleged as word spread around the set of the Lionsgate film Born Killers, which never got a significant theatrical release.
Now 26, the woman has contacted her lawyer to explore legal action against Sizemore, it is reported.
The news comes from The Hollywood Reporter, which claims at least 12 people who worked on the set of the 2003 film "Born Killers", not to be confused with the 1994 film "Natural Born Killers" in which Sizemore also played a role, came forward. Sizemore was reportedly spoken to and replied, "I've done a lot of bad things, and I'd never do anything with kids". The little girl said what she said and we all thought, "That fucking sleazebag.' There was never any doubt".
The film's casting director complained to the legal department of the Screen Actor's Guild to have Sizemore removed from the project immediately.
Sizemore's acting credits include the Oscar-winning Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down, and Twin Peaks: The Return. She added that afterward, "the young girl had trouble taking direction".
At the time the film was being shot, under the name "Piggy Banks", Sizemore had recently been convicted of harassing and physically abusing his ex-girlfriend Heidi Fleiss. That same year, he admitted he was addicted to crystal methamphetamine.
"We also talked to Tom at the time and told him everything that had been told to us and he said: 'I've done a lot of very bad things, and I'd never do anything with kids'".
Sizemore reportedly denied the young actress' claims when he was confronted, but was soon after dropped by his management firm, Untitled, and talent agency, CAA. "He was this guy who was already known for making inappropriate comments, being drunk, being high", says production assistant Roi Maufas.
Sizemore is said to have strongly denied the little girl's allegations when he was confronted over the allegations at the time, telling producers: "I've done a lot of very bad things, and I'd never do anything with kids". "We're talking about consistent behaviour, just being 'Tom Sizemore" on set every day.
