Jerry Jones 'laughs' in the face of National Football League attacks

Goodell's push for an extension has been met with opposition from team owners including the Dallas Cowboys'Jerry Jones who say the timing of the extension could be a public relations disaster.
Jones wants all owners to be able to sign off on the details of Goodell's new contract, which would begin in 2019, even though the owners voted unanimously in May to allow the compensation committee to negotiate the specifics of the deal. He has inserted himself into discussions on Goodell's extension, threatened to sue the league and owners on the compensation committee, and there are some that believe he pushed Papa John's CEO John Schnatter to come after the NFL.
There is thought that Jones' motivation comes out of anger with Goodell giving Dallas' star running back Ezekiel Elliott a six-game suspension that he finally started serving last week. In his weekly appearance on 105.3 The Fan Tuesday, Jones called that report "laughable".
"We've got all the time in the world to extend him", Jones said about Goodell, who is under contract until March 2019, "and we need to slow this train down". "We just need to slow this train down and have a lot of time to discuss the issues at hand in the National Football League and have a good, fair input from all the owners, which we're not getting".
Meghan Markle Is Reportedly Leaving Suits
After original series cast member Gina Torres left past year , she returned in a guest capacity for several episodes. It is understood that both stars' contracts are up after season seven, so neither is obligated to stay.
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talkreported over the weekend that some team owners have discussed the possibility of taking the "nuclear option" with Jones, which would be forcing the 75-year-old to give up ownership of the Cowboys. If Jones can rally more support, his stance against Goodell may still take several more turns.
Belson reported that the league consider other punishments toward Jones, such as fines, docking draft picks, or even suspending him.
Jones denied that he has a replacement in mind for Goodell and added that he has never thought about replacing Goodell.
