School shooting in Tehama County leaves at least three dead

Deputies respond to reported shooting near elementary school in Rancho Tehama

According to a report by Fox 40, witnesses at the scene reported hearing at least 90 shots fired.

Multiple students have been airlifted to hospitals after a shooting at a Northern California elementary School. Officials said they are actively searching for the shooter.

About 100 law enforcement personnel are examining at least five scenes of interest in Rancho Tehama, Johnston said. The child had two gunshot wounds, according to emergency scanner traffic.

The shooting was first reported around 8:15 a.m. PT. There are also reports of several people injured.

FDA Approves Digital Pill

Investigators say the shooting began at one location, with multiple shots fire, then moved to the elementary school.

Rancho Tehama is a community of about 3,500 northwest of Corning.

Rosie DeOliveira, administrative assistant at the association, said that deputies have instructed the community to "shelter in place", stay indoors and stay low.
