Two militants killed in Kashmir encounter

Students from North Kashmir areas including Handwara, Kupwara, Sopore and Palhallan made scores of calls to news agency GNS and complained about the the inconveniences they are facing due to snapping of Internet since last evening.

The militants fired upon a joint party of police and the army near Galganzer. The attack was repulsed by the forces, he said.

"We have started investigation to ascertain the identity of the two militants", he added.

Forces on Monday morning launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Mir Mohalla of Hajin area in northern Kashmir's Bandipora district.
