Republicans in Alabama, DC at odds over Moore
15 November 2017, 08:23 | Opal Carroll
Former Alabama Chief Justice and U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore speaks at a revival Tuesday Nov. 14 2017 in Jackson Ala
SenateRepublicans, led by McConnell, have called on Moore to step aside, but he has dug in. "We are shocked and appalled that anyone would stoop to this level to discredit real journalism".
With Alabama Republicans reluctant to block Moore and enrage his legions of loyal conservative supporters, national GOP leaders were turning to Trump as their best chance of somehow turning the tide. The woman said that Moore sexually assaulted her in a locked auto when she was 16.
"The allegations against Roy Moore are very serious", Hawley said Monday.
Five women have accused Moore of sexual misconduct stemming from when he was in his 30s and they were teenagers. Post spokeswoman Molly Gannon Conway called the accusation "categorically false", adding that The Post has "an explicit policy that prohibits paying sources".
Trump supported Moore's opponent, Luther Strange, in the Republican primary but threw his support to Moore after Strange was defeated.
Neither Corfman nor any of the other women sought out The Post.
REPORTER: Are you encouraging a write-in campaign with Sen. Only one of the women alleged sexual contact that went beyond kissing, according to the Post.
NCAA grants Braxton Beverly immediate eligibility
The NCAA issued a statement announcing the decision Tuesday, less than two hours before the Wolfpack hosted Bryant. But the NCAA twice refused to budge for Beverly, so he hired a lawyer to apply additional pressure on the NCAA.
Jones' campaign released a new ad on Tuesday featuring Republican voters who say they are backing the Democrat. But by Monday, McConnell was saying flatly that Moore should quit the race.
Roy Moore has denied the allegations, and has showed no indication that he intends to bow out of the race.
"I'm the only one who can unite Democrats and Republicans, because I'm opposed by both".
At a forum Tuesday organized by The Wall Street Journal, McConnell said Trump is discussing what to do in the Alabama race "in great detail". "In the state of Missouri, they are criminal - these are criminal allegations". Some evangelicals in Alabama still consider Moore a champion of their faith - a politician willing to stand up for Christian values. 51% of the undecided vote said they were undecided or that the allegations made no difference to their vote.
Al Moore, the pastor, said he's on the fence about whether to vote for Roy Moore. I think the president is right about this, that the judge certainly has the right to defend himself, and to come forward with what he believes are the facts.
Asked whether his campaign was in touch with Moore's alleged victims, Jones said, "I'm exhausted of people blaming this campaign". "I don't know whether the guy is guilty or not".
Ben Affleck Plays The DCEU's Batman For His Son
In comic-book lore, the Justice League didn't come together until 22 years later to take down a giant interstellar starfish. I hope he decides to stay on as Batman , the DC universe is already unstable and a change in actor isn't something it needs.
