The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) is expecting several months of aftershocks after a strong quake struck the southeastern city of Pohang on Wednesday.

The epicenters of Korea's two strongest earthquakes are only 43 kilometers apart, and the KMA says it's analyzing their correlation.

Check out the "Dispatch" photos below. The Korea Meteorological Administration says there were smaller tremors of magnitudes of 2.2 and 2.6 just a few minutes before the main natural disaster.

No reports have emerged so far about casualties or damage.

Residents in Pohang city just 5.6 miles from the epicentre of the quake were told to evacuate.

UN Still Can Send Humanitarian Flights to Sanaa Airport After Recent Strike
The strike comes just a day after Saudi ambassador to the UN Abdallah Al-Mouallimi agreed to reopen some ports to allow aid in. The war has killed over 10,000 civilians, displaced 3 million people and left much of the country's infrastructure in ruins.

South Korea has relatively little seismic activity, compared with Japan to the east.

Local nuclear reactors were operating without disruption, Yonhap news agency said, citing officials at Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power. Six aftershocks followed for about 30 minutes ranging from magnitude 2.4 to 3.6.

South Korean President Moon Jae-In, on his way to Seoul after attending the Asean summit in Manila, is set to hold an emergency meeting upon arrival, his office said.

Samsung and SK hynix experienced temporary suspension of chip production in September past year when a more powerful quake struck near Gyeongju south of Pohang.
