Micromax Canvas Infinity Pro with 18:9 edge-to-edge screen dual selfie cameras launched at Rs 13,999

Expanding the bezel-less smartphones range and taking ahead the legacy of Canvas Infinity series, Micromax has announced the launch of "Canvas Infinity Pro" with an 18:9 display-screen and powerful Dual cameras. During its launch time, the Canvas Infinity is also the most affordable 18:9 smartphone in India. "We truly believe that Infinity Pro is that package and our consumers will be delighted with the pricing as well", said Shubhodhip Pal, Chief Operating Officer, Micromax Informatics, in a statement. This new phone is priced at Rs. 13999. The smartphone will go on sale exclusively via Flipkart starting December 6 at 12:00AM.

Much like the original Canvas Infinity, the Pro variant has the same 5.7-inch HD+ Full Vision display. The USP of the smartphone was its Galaxy S8-like infinity display. There is also a 2.5D curved glass on top of the display.

Powering the phone is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Mobile Platform with Adreno 505 GPU.

Targeting to disrupt the mid-range price segment, the Canvas Infinity Pro is carrying forward the bezel-less revolution and the company is promising an enhanced viewing experience for the consumers. The Canvas Infinity Pro sports a 16MP camera on the rear with LED Flash. The device has a 20MP front-facing camera along with a secondary 8MP camera offering Portrait Mode that blurs the background in selfies.

On the software front, the Infinity Pro runs on Android 7.1 Nougat and packs a number of customisations in the camera app. Below the rear camera, there's a fingerprint scanner, which is rated to unlock the device in 0.2 seconds.

The major improvements in Canvas Infinity Pro over its smaller sibling are- new chipset, new camera configuration, bigger battery, extra RAM and storage. The device is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery that claims to deliver up to 20 hours of talk time and 420 hours of standby time on a single charge. Connectivity options on the Canvas Infinity Pro include dual-SIM, OTG support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone will be available onlyon Flipkart from 6 December. The RAM on this phone has also been increased to 4GB in comparison to the 3GB found earlier.
