"State Representative Daryl Metcalfe has always been a problem in Harrisburg", Pa. Democrats wrote in a released statement.
For political comedy - or horror - there often is no better seat in the Pennsylvania Capitol than the State House Government Committee, chaired by the Legislature's ultimate odd couple: Republican firebrand Daryl Metcalfe, and Democratic quipster Matt Bradford.
"Representative Bradford", Metcalfe said after being touched. If you want to touch somebody, you have people on your side of the aisle that might like it. "I don't", he continued.
"We're officially off the rails", Bradford said.
"I don't." Metcalfe said.
Chairman Bradford, who is married to a woman and has four children with her, appeared stunned.
"I don't know where we go from here, really", Bradford said.
New poll finds Congress, BJP neck and neck in Gujarat
The SP leader said out of total 5,261 ward members of the Nagar palika parishad, the BJP won only 914 seats and lost 4,347 seats. The poll suggests that different age groups would prefer to vote for different parties in the ensuing poll.
During an interview after the incident, Metcalfe claimed Bradford had continually reached out and touched him for months and that he had asked him to stop before, according to the Pittsburgh Gazette.
Pennsylvania's first openly gay legislator, Rep. Brian Sims, sits on the state government committee and turned to Facebook to express his outrage toward Metcalfe, whom he called the Pennsylvania House Republican Caucus's "head bigot". "The Pennsylvania Democratic Party has previously called upon Metcalfe to resign over his repeated racism".
Bradford had been speaking and trying to gain agreement, and had momentarily for a split second, place his hand on Metcalfe's suit jacket sleeve. "I thought he needed something a little bit stronger that brought his attention to it and the attention of others around and this has certainly done it", said Metcalfe.
When the Supreme Court recognized same-sex marriages across the country in 2015, Metcalfe said the justices displayed "judicial tyranny", according to PennLive.
"I wish some civility would reign", Bradford said.
"His talking about that on the House floor would have been an open rebellion against Almighty God and God's word, against God's law", Metcalfe said later.
