NewsThe Invisible Box Challenge Is Sweeping Social Media – But What Is It?by Phoebe Parke | 2 hours ago Turns out mime is cool again

AN AMERICAN cheerleader has gone viral after posting a video that appears to show her walking over an invisible box.

Just like planking, the invisible box challenge has taken on a life of its own.

The trick, which is performed by jumping with one foot while keeping the other still to replicate a "stepping" action, has gained mass online popularity.

Ariel Olivar from Manvel High School in Texas posted a video on Twitter of her performing a lovely "invisible box" trick, appearing to levitate as she steps over the non-existent box. Freshman football player Dontez Hines of Indiana's Anderson University demonstrated it in a tweet in August.

"The video was my third time trying it", she wrote on Twitter.

It's a challenge people seem determined to nail down, as the Internet shows.

Over 70 nominations for RK Nagar bypoll rejected
Earlier, the nomination papers of Vishal and late J Jayalalithaa's niece Deepa Jayakumar were rejected by Election authorities. The form 26 which she reportedly left incomplete relate to cases against her and properties owned by her.

"It is actually kind of challenging keeping it there".

The trick isn't new to the internet and has been circulating on Reddit since 2014.

Men's Health fitness editor Ebenezer Samuel broke the move down, explaining: "All [the] hip stabilisers on the right side are firing on overtime to hold that hip in position".

She says you have to keep the foot that is "on the box" in the same spot the entire time, and the other foot must go above it when you make the jump.

The leg that's stepping on the box uses a great deal of hip flexor, glute and core stability.

But the moving leg that hops forward faces a greater challenge.
