According to Noland, Lue said that while there's no set timetable for Rose's return, he's working under the assumption that it "won't be the next few games".

LeBron James showed his love for The Ohio State University again during the Buckeyes Big Ten Championship win over Wisconsin.

Cavaliers guard Derrick Rose apologized to his teammates at shootaround on Wednesday for his recent absence and referenced frustration with his left ankle injury as the cause for his almost two-week exile, a team source told ESPN. "We support him in any way he needs us to support him".

Unfortunately, that didn't happen. He's averaging 14.3 points in seven games with the Cavaliers, who signed him to a one-year, $2.1 million free-agent contract in July.

Would he stay with the team and rehab yet another injury, or would he simply walk away from the game due to the mental and physical anguish?

Furious rally powers Ohio State to 71-62 win over MI
MI led by as many as 20 in the half, but the 7-0 run - capped by a monster dunk by JaeSean Tate - pulled it closer. Moritz Wagner led the way for MI with 14 points, and Zavier Simpson and Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman each added 11.

Rose has played in only seven of the Cavs' 23 games this season due to an ankle injury, and frustration with his injury led him to a almost two-week self-imposed exile in which he contemplated retirement.

He reportedly addressed the team in advance of their game against the Sacramento Kings, which was surprising given his calm, quiet demeanor.

While Lue didn't disclose the content of Rose's message, he said the team was happy to have him back at the practice facility. "He asked me could he talk to the team before we started shootaround and addressed the team". All we want is him to be happy and be back and that's great news for us and for him. A frustrated Rose had left the team on November 22 to contemplate his future, but he's back and working toward a return to the floor.

"Just going through his rehab now, trying to get healthy", Lue said.
