"Our daughter was totally failed by USA Gymnastics, by Michigan State University and by the U.S. Olympic Committee".

In July, the former sports medicine doctor pleaded guilty to three counts in federal court related to the possession of thousands of child pornography images. Neff ruled that Nassar's federal sentence would run consecutive to whatever prison time he receives for the sexual assault cases.

She went on to say that "we were never allowed to the U.S. Olympic Training Center at the Karolyi Ranch nor any other training facility".

The sentence, handed down by a judge in Grand Rapids, Mich., ensures that Nassar, 54, likely will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Maroney has said in the past that Nassar called his abuse "treatment".

He also said: "I really tried to be a good person".

McKayla Maroney, now 21 and retired from the sport for more than a year, said Nassar - who also worked at Michigan State for decades and has been accused of sexually abusing former student-athletes there - "treated" her both before she and the "Fierce Five" won their team gold and before she won silver in the vault in London. The judge Thursday ordered Nassar to serve his federal sentence - 20 years each for three counts - consecutively to state sentences, seemingly foreclosing any possibility he obtains an early release.

Several analysts are forecasting growth estimate of Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc . for the current quarter to be 15.5%. This repurchase authorization allows the pharmacy operator to buy shares of its stock through open market purchases.

"He abused my trust, abused my body and left scars on my psyche that may never heal", Maroney wrote in a victim-impact letter to the federal court where Nassar is to be sentenced on Thursday. "As it turns out, much to my demise, Dr. Nassar was not a doctor, he in fact is, was, and forever shall be, a child molester, and a monster of a human being".

Nassar is accused of sexually abusing over 140 women and girls. Newburg added he believed Nassar was remorseful.

His public downfall began in September 2016, when the Indianapolis Star named Nassar in a report on USA Gymastics' lackluster response to allegations of assault. He then paid $49 to have his laptop wiped of the child pornography and threw away hard drives that contained child pornography, according to court documents.

According to ESPN, FBI agents found 37,000 illegal pornographic images on a hard drive in a trash bin when they searched Nassar's home.

Some of the videos appeared to show Nassar assaulting young girls in a pool, investigators said.

The videos included footage from a pool with Nassar swimming with several children, according to testimony from an Federal Bureau of Investigation agent a year ago. Those accusations related to conduct with two minors in Nassar's swimming pool in the summer of 2015 and for "illicit sexual conduct" with two other minor children during interstate and worldwide travel, according to the plea agreement obtained by CNN.

The girls have testified that Nassar molested them while they sought help for gymnastics injuries, sometimes when a parent was present in the room.
