AT LEAST six pedestrians were struck when a cab driver jumped the kerb in a busy section of lower Manhattan.

It happened at about 1:20 p.m. near the intersection near Liberty and Broadway.

At least three people were hurt.

A witness, Hector Freytes of Queens, says people scattered as the auto sped along Liberty.

The five victims are not believed to have life threatening injuries. Vehicle traffic in the area was closed as police investigated the situation.

On Oct. 31, a driver killed eight people in a truck attack on an area bike path. Authorities were working to determine whether the crash was intentional. It appeared the auto had jumped onto the curb where pedestrians were hit.
