The Rock gets his star

Actor Dwayne Johnson will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Dwayne Johnson was first famous wrestling as "The Rock" when he was working in the WWE. Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies, says in a statement posted on the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce website. The Jumanji sequel also stars Karen Gillian, Kevin Hart and Jack Black. This year alone, Johnson stars in three movies that include "Baywatch", "The Fate of the Furious" and highly-anticipated "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle", which is slated to hit USA theaters on December 20. Next year he will be starring in the Fast and Furious spinoff based on his character Hobbs and three other movies: "Jungle Cruise", "Rampage", and "Skyscraper". Johnson responded by tweeting a heartfelt and grateful message, and then he (jokingly?) added that he'd be providing tequila. Joe: Retaliation and Hercules. According to Forbes, the actor netted $65 million while his movies have grossed almost $3 billion at the box office. After that film, he starred in The Scorpion King and he has been a huge movie star ever since.
