A POLICEMAN who died in a crash on a motorbike while on duty was about to become a father.
Francis Habgood, chief constable for Thames Valley Police, said: "My officers, staff and I were devastated to hear the very sad news about our colleague PC James Dixon, aged 39 and the 91-year-old woman who died as a result of a road collision yesterday (5/12)".
The constable died after his bike collided with a auto on the A4 in Berkshire on Tuesday.
PC Dixon had appeared in the Sky TV programme Road Wars.
Pc Dixon, from Thatcham, recently married his wife Samantha who is due to give birth next year.
