World War Z game announced for Xbox One

World War Z, the zombie apocalypse novel turned movie, is now becoming a video game. Whatever the case, it appears the game does have co-op, as several players team up to take on enemies within the game.

It's now set for the PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One, and is being developed by Saber Interactive (NBA Playgrounds, Quake Champions).

The first big announcement out of The Game Awards came right at the start of the pre-show, and it's World War Z, a zombie-survival game coming from Saber Interactive.

Overwatch's Winter Wonderland 2017 event starts next week
As usual, fans should expect a slew of new Legendary costumes, which will be up for grabs with the latest patch. Winter Wonderland debuted a year ago , and this latest outing promises a mix of the familiar and the new.


And finally, there'll be a handful of World Premiere reveals. Use traps, barriers and the environment strategically to stay alive while unleashing a storm of firepower with a variety of weapons on the unrelenting hordes of the undead.

Other top awards up for grabs include Best Narrative, Best Action Game, Best Role-Playing Game and Best Fighting Game among many others.

World War Z is expected to release in 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
