Georgia QB Jacob Eason likely transferring to Washington

Quarterback Jacob Eason, Georgia's Week 1 starter, is leaning heavily toward transferring to Washington, reports Adam Jude of the Seattle Times.

Washington has the pieces in place to compete for Pac-12 titles, especially with a quarterback the caliber of Eason under center. His presence certainly wouldn't affect Eason negatively, though, as the latter will be subject to transfer rules that state a player must sit out a full season unless granted a special waiver by the NCAA.

"Going to sit down with my family and figure that out", he told the Seattle Times' Stefanie Loh in Atlanta.

Coming off a solid true freshman season, Jacob Eason was Georgia's starter for its season opener.

With KJ Carta-Samuels transferring away from Washington, Sirmon, Yankoff, and Haener will battle for the backup spot this season. UW also has Jake Haener and Daniel Bridge-Gadd on the current roster, along with four-star quarterback Dylan Morris committed to its 2019 recruiting class.

Handmaid's Tale helps Hulu reach 17 million subscribers in 2017
Hulu With Live TV is already driving strong engagement with its combination of live, library and original content. Hulu's advertising revenue crossed $ 1 billion for the first time in 2017, the company revealed Tuesday.

A native of Lake Stevens, Washington, it comes as no surprise that the talented quarterback would consider returning to his home state.

This does not come as a surprise based on a series of events that seems likely to push Eason back to third string next season. He passed for 2,430 yards and 16 touchdowns with just eight interceptions as a true freshman and completed 55 percent of his throws.

The Bulldogs then finished the season with a national championship berth.
