Mayo told KOLN that the seized cash tested positive for marijuana residue, as did a 50-gallon trash bag found in the truck.
The couple now faces multiple violations of California law related to marijuana cultivation and transportation, the Sheriff's Office said. They told police the individually wrapped bags of cannabis, worth about $336,000, were Christmas gifts.
Mariah Jiron, who is their daughter, was issued a warning.
The sheriff's department says the Jiron's were also driving the same Toyota pickup involved in their previous bust.
