Today - Rain likely, mainly after 1 p.m. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 8 to 13 miles per hour increasing to 18 to 23 miles per hour in the afternoon. South wind around 10 miles per hour. Little or no ice accumulation expected.

Friday night: Rain likely. Snow tapers off in the afternoon.

Your Friday starts out warm and rainy, with temperatures rising to near 60 by noon, but then plummeting throughout the rest of the day to a low of 20 overnight. Accumulation of up to a half-inch is expected. Light and variable wind becoming south around 5 miles per hour in the afternoon. High near 40. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. Calm wind. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

The Bemidji area could see between 3 to 5 inches of new snow Wednesday night into Thursday, according to the National Weather Service office in Grand Forks, N.D., which oversees the Bemidji region.

The weather service predicts a high of 13 Friday with a low of minus 2; Saturday should only reach the single digits before heading to a low of 8 below zero. Wind chill values as low as 22 below. North to northeast winds 10-15 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

SATURDAY: Snow showers will develop and linger into Saturday, with much colder temperatures returning. Skies are going to stay mostly cloudy to partly cloudy.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45.

On Monday, Martin Luther King Day, it will sunny with a high near 17 and a low of -2.

Mostly clear, with a low around 25. Another weather system may bring a chance of a few showers Monday afternoon and evening. Cloudy, with a high near 20. Snow showers wrap up by lunch time Thursday afternoon with sunshine into the evening.
