Samsung showed off their 146-incher at CES

Samsung showed off The Wall at CES a 146-inch TV that's modular with MicroLED technology
While LG showed their OLED display that bends, which isn't anything new really albeit bigger and better, Samsung made a decision to focus on size.
"On a wall screen, you can watch TV, designating any section or portion of the display to act like a TV", he said.
The report goes on to say that some people who visited the "Qlounge" as it has been called, said the new QLED technology was the most impressive thing Samsung has to show in the private area.
The Wall measures 146-inches diagonally across, or more than three and a half metres. It's sheer gargantuan size is guaranteed to draw media and CES attendee attention while its host of cutting-edge new technologies give a glimpse of what Samsung is working on for their newest consumer models.
Samsung also worked with McAfee to develop a new security application which is tailored for TV called McAfee Security for TV. According to Samsung: "Users can add or remove modules to make their TV bigger or smaller, in any configuration, removing previous limitations on screen size, with zero impact on the performance of the display".
Samsung Electronics on Monday introduced "The Wall", the world's first modular microLED television. Like OLED, micro LED tech creates light and color right inside a TV's pixels themselves and thus doesn't require any sort of large, bulky LED backlight arrays. It's very similar to the technology used in scoreboards and jumbo screens, but scaled for home use. Furthermore, just as is the case with OLED, the pixels (any one of several million of them inside a micro LED 4K TV bar) can turn off or on completely on an individual basis for flawless scene dimming and bright highlights. Moreover, since each chip incorporates RGB colour, there is no need for colour filters either and the panel is able to deliver a peak brightness of 2,000 nits along with darker blacks.
LG's new OLED TVs are made smarter with a touch of AI, and with Google's Assistant and Amazon Alexa built in.
Samsung hasn't yet named an official price for The Wall or a firm launch date but there will be a press event in March with more information.
