Annual Girl Scout Cookie program starts today

"The goal is to engage people more in the Cookie Program, because to enter the contest they have to get a special code from a girl scout".

Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama recently announced details for its 2018 cookie season.

You may want to download it soon, because the Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana begin their annual cookie sale on Friday. Cookies are reported to be available for delivery in February.

For over 100 years, Girl Scouts has been the experts on girls.

Threat of CBRN weapons becoming a 'reality', says Rawat
He also raised concern over "disinformation" being spread through social media, and through religious schools and mosques. Asked about Chinese incursions, he said, "We will not allow our territory to be invaded by anyone".

The girls are kick-starting their sales early. The program runs through March 25.

If you're not in the San Jacinto area, however, there are plenty of ways to give back while getting your cookie fix this year. Girls and their troops decide how to spend their troop proceeds, investing in impactful community projects, personal enrichment opportunities and more. Some troops use it to pay their registration for the next year, some use it to buy uniforms, some use it to travel. In 1922, the organization's cookie recipe and business plan were shared and in 1925 the scouts' S'mores recipe was first published.

Throughout the years, many different flavors have come and gone (does anyone remember the Lemon Chalet Cremes or chocolate-covered, caramel-filled Juliettes?) but a few remain as staples: Thin Mints, Do-si-dos, and shortbread Trefoils are the best-selling varieties.
