While they did not reveal which models will be getting it first, most people believe that the Lexus NX could be one of the first to get the app since it does come with EnForm 2.0.

Alexa will help drivers and passengers get directions, read the news, and select entertainment options, as well as add items to their shopping cart.

When Vuzix last week announced that its Alexa-enabled augmented reality smart glasses would debut at CES, you had to know it was just the beginning of the Alexa avalanche coming in 2018. Toyota, whose efficient manufacturing techniques transformed the auto industry, is turning to Alexa to bolster its voice-recognition capability.

The march of Amazon's Alexa into the automotive world continues.

Of course, people won't be talking about the condition of relations between Alexa and Cortana almost as much as they will be talking about voice-activated toilets. While Alexa integration could be found all over the CES show floor, Google Assistant made a big CES splash, too. Behind the scenes, the online retailer has aggressively orchestrated Alexa's rise by dramatically lowering the barrier for any company to add it to their products.
