'X-Files' star Gillian Anderson receives star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Gillian Andersonconfirmed that she won't return to "The X-Files" to play Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Dana Scully. "It just is", the Dana Scully depicter said. "It just is", Anderson, 49, said Wednesday at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"A woman who wasn't just the object of man's desire but a strong-willed, smart, fearless woman who was career-driven and fiercely independent", Anderson said of Scully. Bryan and Michael Green aren't either, as has been announced, ' she said. 'I felt that the previous six was going to be it. "It was dipping our toe back in again. and getting to play these wonderful characters again", she added. I think as Chris has said himself that that short stack of episodes kind of felt like we were learning how to walk again, and that 10 feels like the pace is up and we're running. "There's lots of things I want to do in my life and in my career", the actress said.
David Duchovny told reporters he would be "good either way" if the show continued without Anderson or if it ended after the current season. Fuller and Green made a decision to quit the series after clashing with producers Fremantle over the show's season two budget. It would be impossible to imagine The X-Files moving forward without Scully, though to be fair, the show attempted something similar during Season Eight when co-star David Duchovny quit being a full-time character on the show after filing a lawsuit against 20th Century Fox.
The X-Files returns for Season 11 in 2018, and will mark the last ride for Scully.
At the same time, when she agreed to return to "The X-Files", Anderson said "it never occurred to me that it was now a new series". But it's not as if Anderson's taking a break - she's already set to star in two films due for release this year, The Spy Who Dumped Me and Andorra. "They did a show without me, so how do you like that?" I am hugely grateful, but there's lots of other stuff I want to do and I don't really want to be tied down to months and months of doing any particular one thing that I feel like I've done. "The X-Files is a frame", he says.
Homeowners should test for radon
Analysis of test data from 2010-2016 found that about 40 percent of Minnesota homes have risky levels of radon (4 pCi/L or above). Testing kits can also be purchased at the American Lung Association website or by calling 1-800-LUNG-USA.
First trailer for Blumhouse's new horror Truth or Dare
It's not my preferred genre, but I can get into them from time to time if I think it's going to be a really solid movie. The film is being directed by Jeff Wadlow who directed "Kick-Ass 2" and "True Memoirs of an International Assassin".
California proposes more spending on schools and roads
Overall, his plan largely avoids new spending , instead putting $5 billion in surplus money into the state's rainy day fund. California continues to work towards a state goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 40 percent below 1990 levels by 2030.
