I actually quite enjoyed the Wii U version, though I can't say I won't miss the Wii U gamepad.

For those that missed Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, this is a fun, isometric puzzle game in which you venture with the somewhat fearless (?) hero through a series of levels, collecting coins and avoiding enemies. On the 3DS, the game will have touchscreen controls and 3D visuals. Captain Toad can't jump through, which can make some levels tricky to traverse. The game will come out for the Switch and the 3DS on July 13th, the same release date for Square Enix's new RPG Octopath Traveler. Like in the Wii U versions, players can rotate the camera and tap the screen in order to find treasure that is hidden throughout each level. The Nintendo Switch version supports 2-player cooperative play by sharing a pair of Joy-Cons, with one player controlling Captain Toad and the other providing support.
