WWE issues statement on Jeff Hardy's Weekend Arrest, more details emerge

An accident report, seen by the Daily Mirror, states Hardy "ran off the roadway to the right, in turn striking about 105ft of guardrail, before the back end of the auto spun out 90 degrees to the left, coming to rest in the middle of the right northbound lane of travel".

Hardy, a former World and Tag Team Champion best known as one half of The Hardy Boyz alongside his brother Matt Hardy, has been out of action in WWE since suffering a torn right rotator cuff in September. Hardy was placed under arrest at the scene and charged with misdemeanor Driving While Impaired. However, we do know that Hardy did $8,000 in damages to his Cadillac CTS-V and rack up an additional $5,000 for damaging almost 105 feet of guardrail.

Following the arrest, Hardy was served with a pretrial revocation of his driver's license, and he is scheduled to appear in court on April 16th. The report also indicates Hardy underwent some sort of test for alcohol but that the results were pending at the time of the arrest. This is standard procedure for such arrests in North Carolina.
