Xbox One X And Xbox One S Updates Will Include FreeSync And Auto Low Latency Mode Support
The announcement came from AMD's Antal Tungler, during Microsoft's Inside Xbox show recently.
The next major update to the Xbox One operating system will bring support for AMD FreeSync, according to Microsoft. According to Microsoft, Xbox gamers will be able to enjoy AMD's FreeSync 2 variable-refresh-rate (VRR) tech when the update hits later this spring.
Mixer streamers on Xbox One will be able to share their controller directly with their viewers on Mixer. There are 4K FreeSync monitors, ultrawide FreeSync monitors, 1440p FreeSync monitors, 1080p FreeSync monitors.
Alexa's new Follow-Up Mode can handle back-to-back requests
Obviously you can't make a video call to a regular Echo, but that should be obvious seeing as how it doesn't have a camera. The blue ring on your Alexa device of choice will light up during these five seconds to indicate that she's listening.
Microsoft is taking another step towards maximum compatibility for its Xbox consoles.
In this regard, some 2018 TV with the QLED technologies that Samsung has announced during the CES 2018 will also support the VRR (variable refresh rate), which may be particularly interesting for console players. Like Nvidia's G-Sync, it helps to remove tearing and stuttering usually associated with gaming on monitors, as the tech syncs refresh rates to ensure games are running smoothly. There was a massive amount of news in this first installment, but two Xbox-specific update related items are worthy of highlighting. Users will be able to share clips and screenshots directly to Twitter, and the Xbox's built-in Edge browser is getting a functionality upgrade that will make it behave more like the desktop version. This will enable compatible TVs to recognize when a game is being played and will turn on game mode, or low latency mode to optimizing the gaming experience.
