President Trump is coming to California
"We absolutely want President Trump to feel welcome and to come inspect the prototypes so we can get the wall built", he said.
On Monday, Brown wrote a letter talking about previous presidents who have visited the Golden State.
California was a frequent stop for Trump during his campaign - more so during the primary phase than the general election, when Trump focused on more likely targets.
Numerous rallies both for-and-against Donald Trump's "big lovely border wall" are expected to mark his first visit to California as president, where he will examine prototypes for future towering barriers to separate the United States and Mexico.
Governor Jerry Brown has also invited the president to Central Valley to view the state's high-speed rail construction project, but it's not clear if President Trump will take up the invitation. "We are already putting 1,700 Americans to work".
Trump's visit on Tuesday is scheduled to focus on a review near San Diego of prototypes for his promised border wall, followed by a Beverly Hills fundraiser for the Republican National Committee.

But our prosperity is not built on isolation.
When George W. Bush first set foot in California as President, he reminded the country why the largest state in the union matters, stating: "For decades, California has been the place where the future happens first".
"You have lamented that "we don't have one fast train" in our country".
"You see, in California we are focusing on bridges, not walls", Brown, a Democrat, said in a letter sent to Trump.
"Well Mr. President, in California we are trying to fix that". "We have a world-class train system under construction".
"We will continue defending our community next week when this fascist president visits indigenous Kumeyay land to decide what prototype of use along this imposed border that divides families and further alienates Mexicans on both sides of the border", the group said. The administration has had a contentious relationship with California lawmakers and sued the state just last week over three laws it says makes federal immigration enforcement more hard.

Trump wants to rely less on White House staff
