BREAKING: Prosecutors To Seek Death Penalty for Parkland Teen Shooter

Nikolas Cruz Prosecutors Seeking Death Penalty

The state attorney in Broward County, Fla., announced Tuesday that he intends to seek the death penalty in the Parkland school shooting case.

The office of Broward County State Attorney Michael Satz filed the formal notice of its intentions Tuesday.

Cruz has admitted to the shooting, and has been charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder.

Cruz has another formal arraignment scheduled for Wednesday, during which he is expected to be arraigned on an additional 17 counts of first-degree murder.

The Sun Sentinel reports that Cruz's attorneys had previously taken the position that the suspect committed mass shooting and would "plead guilty if prosecutors would agree to drop the death penalty as a possible punishment".

The action by prosecutors on Tuesday does not necessarily mean a plea deal will not be reached. While they continue to acknowledge that he carried out the rampage, they cannot plead guilty while Cruz could be sentenced to death, Finkelstein said Tuesday.

SBI reduces charges for non-maintenance of average minimum balance
Tuesday reduced charges for non-maintenance of average minimum balance ( AMB ) in savings accounts by up to 75 per cent. This was more than its September quarter profit of Rs 1,581.55 crore.

"We are still ready to enter a plea of "guilty" to several consecutive life sentences, without parole, out of respect for the victims of this tragedy", Weekes said.

Cruz now "stands mute" to the charges against him.

The shooting has sparked a fierce national debate over gun rights, with numerous student survivors vowing to push for gun control regulations so that the shooting they lived through might be the last.

Anthony's family has filed notice that they will sue Florida authorities to seek money to cover the cost of his recovery.

"We are not saying he is not guilty but we can't plead guilty while death is still on the table", Finkelstein wrote.
