The New York Times reports that an internal recommendation has been given to Sessions arguing that McCabe deserves to be fired.

The inspector general has since last January been investigating the FBI and Justice Department's handling of the politically charged probe into Clinton's use of a private email server while she was secretary of state, which is separate from the foundation probe.

"That process includes recommendations from career employees and no termination decision is final until the conclusion of that process", she said in a statement.

President Trump has frequently criticized McCabe publicly, suggesting that his wife's involvement in Democratic politics had tainted the Federal Bureau of Investigation official too. President Donald Trump has gone after McCabe publicly several times, calling him a "Comey friend" who "got $700,000 from H [illary Clinton] for wife ['s political campaign]"!

Fox News has learned that the FBI's Office of Professional Responsibility made the recommendation to terminate McCabe. "We have no personnel announcements at this time". His plan may be disrupted, however, by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who is reportedly considering firing him.

Manchester United's Michael Carrick says Scott McTominay is a 'shining example'
Carrick, who is set to call time on his Manchester United career at the end of the campaign, singled out McTominay for special praise. "It s kind of been sorted", added Carrick.

Reporters had been chasing down leads about McCabe's fate in the past few days as he approached his official retirement date. And A Justice Department spokeswoman would not say whether McCabe would be dismissed. His wife ran as a Democrat for a Virginia Senate seat in 2015. The FBI isn't supposed to disclose information about ongoing criminal investigations, but the October 30, 2016, story went into an extraordinary level of detail about turf wars between the FBI and the Justice Department over the handling of the Clinton Foundation probe.

The Wall Street Journal story was written by Devlin Barrett, who is now a reporter at The Washington Post. The details of why the inspector general viewed Mr. McCabe as not forthcoming are not clear.

Through a representative, McCabe declined to comment.

Horowitz told lawmakers during a November congressional hearing that he is aiming to release the report in the "March, April time period".

McCabe and his attorney recently signed nondisclosure agreements that allowed them to read the results of the investigation but banned them from discussing its contents.
