OnePlus Confirms 256GB variant of OnePlus 6
The latest report is in line with a report by Chinese news outlet CNMO which suggests that OnePlus 6 could be the company's most expensive smartphone till date with its top-end version costing $749 (or approx Rs 48,838). The newest to add to the list is the handset's iconic Alert Slider and how it will be integrated in the device's camera this time. If this wasn't clear enough, the text is accompanied with a gif giving us a rough idea on how the feature may work. Notably, Alert Slider is already present on the existing OnePlus flagships. The switch let users skip between full volume, Do Not Disturb Mode and silent.
There is no official word on when OnePlus 6 will officially break covers, but going by the recent spate of official teasers, the launch seems to just around the corner. However, the news that the OnePlus 6 will have a Notch has not gone down well with the company's fans and the company has been trying hard to explain the need for a notch on the next smartphone. The screen to body ratio looks great and there is no doubt that most phones out of China and the rest of the world will have a notch in the course of 2018.
CEO of OnePlus has confirmed that the processor used in the smartphone is Snapdragon 845. In a short video clip, gestures appear to be teased alongside a post caption that says "Speed up your experience with gestures".
However, that wasn't well received by its fanbase, so the company has made a decision to release a software update for the OnePlus 6 after it's released which will bring the ability to hide the notch by blacking out the status bar. The gestures will enable users to swipe to the home screen, simply swipe a specific way to go back to the previous screen and also check out the app overview.
