Robert De Niro as Robert Mueller grills Ben Stiller as Trump's lawyer on SNL

Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller star in SNL skit featuring Trump lawyer Michael Cohen

"Did President Trump know about it?"

In the fantastic cold open, Sessions and Pence sympathized with Cohen - who laments, "You know how much evidence I have in my office?"

The two parodied the famous lie-detector scene from the film, but with De Niro's Mueller questioning Stiller's Cohen about Trump, Russia and his $130,000 payment to adult film-star Stormy Daniels.

That's right, Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller reunited on SNL and honestly, it was everything. At the start of the cold open, he admits to Jeff Sessions (Kate McKinnon) and Mike Pence (Beck Bennett): "I'm Donald Trump's lawyer".

De Niro as Mueller also shared the codenames the Federal Bureau of Investigation uses for the Trumps and his administration, saying the president's nickname has gone from "Putin's little b****" to "Stormy's little b****". "Jared Kushner is 'Other Girlfriend" and Cohen himself is 'Dead Man Walking'. "I have an entire hard drive that's just labelled 'yikes!'" said Stiller's Cohen. Robert De Niro fired back, once again referencing "Meet the Parents".

'Complete nonsense': How Russian media covered the air strikes in Syria
French foreign minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said on Saturday morning: 'A large part of its chemical arsenal has been destroyed. Russian and Syrian forces maintain that the chemical attacks were instigated by members of the rebel insurgency.

Stiller, as Cohen, tried desperately to wiggle his way out of a lie detector test, fearing he would inadvertently reveal that his boss knew about the hush money. "Did you say milk?"

"Yeah, like with a cow, or a goat".

"It's a disgrace! This whole raid was a violation of attorney-criminal privilege", Cohen says. The segment ended with De Niro telling Ben Stiller's Cohen "You broke the law and we're gonna catch you little fockers". "I mean you can milk anything with nipples".

The show was hosted by comedian and former Saturday Night Live writer John Mulaney with Jack White as musical guest.
