The South softball team celebrates a home run on April 12 against Riverside.

Morningside scored its ninth run of the game in the fifth inning when Lexie Stolen singled and came home on a groundout by Hinker.

Senior Skye Metzer smashed a home run for EHHS, going 1 for 4 with a run scored and 3 RBIs.

Walker and Reagan Eaves had two hits apiece for the Titans (4-4), while Fox earned the victory. Cosgrove doubled on a fly ball to left field to send Hayden home. Kayla Seal singled, and Paityn Tieman's single plated the third run of the inning.

Evans was the pitcher of record for the Raiders and lost her ninth game on the year.

Muskegon opened the game with five big runs off starting pitcher Casey Evans and the Raiders would have to play from behind the rest of the game.

Alexandria senior Mackenzie McCarty hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning, but Sturgeon recovered to end the inning, and the game, with a soft infield grounder. The Lady Herd faced St. Francis one day earlier and won 12-2.
