Stormy Daniels' lawyer joins fight over Trump lawyer's files

FBI raid targeted records of payments to porn star, ex-Playmate

President Trump has never been in more trouble than right now

Donald Trump's personal attorney often recorded telephone conversations both before and during the 2016 presidential campaign that likely have been scooped up in the Federal Bureau of Investigation raid on attorney Michael Cohen's apartment, office and hotel room, according to sources familiar with the matter. NY is a one-party consent state, meaning Cohen could legally record any phone conversation without the other person's knowledge.

Another issue, of course, is whether the communications at issue between Cohen and Trump will ultimately be deemed to be legitimate attorney-client privileged communications.

Asked if he was anxious, Cohen said: "I would be lying to you if I told that I am not".

In addition to seizing documents related to two women who claim they had affairs with the president, investigators also sought material related to the "Access Hollywood" tape in which Mr. Trump was heard making vulgar comments about women.

Those people spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the confidential details.

Mueller's office referred the information he found on Michael Cohen to the U.S. Southern District of NY, because he believed it distracted from his main goal of the Russian Federation investigation.

Federal prosecutors say in a court filing that the criminal probe that led them to raid the offices of Donald Trump's personal lawyer this week is focused on his "personal business dealings".

Federal Bureau of Investigation and Justice Department officials in Washington and NY have refused to discuss the case publicly, or say what crimes they are investigating.

Manchester City crowned Premier League champions
They are in the relegation zone and are more likely to be one of the three clubs to be dropped to the Championship. And by the performance yesterday, they will achieve it in style and break some more records in the process.

Daniels' lawyer, Michael Avenatti, is pleased with the feds' raid of Cohen's apartment.

They also downplayed the scope of potential privilege, saying they had before Monday secretly searched multiple email accounts belonging to Cohen, and which they said indicated that Cohen "is in fact performing little to no legal work".

The Times reported that the documents seized in the raids related to Cohen's payment of $130,000 to the adult-film actress Stormy Daniels, who alleges she had an affair with the president, as well as records of an alleged $150,000 payment relating to Karen McDougal, a former Playboy model who also says she had an affair with Trump.

The source said they were generally conversations about whether the news organizations were going to be fair to candidate Trump.

President Donald Trump's personal attorney is trying to prevent the government from using materials it found in a search of his office and residence this week. According to reports, the raid is the clearest sign yet that the president's longtime attorney is in serious legal jeopardy. He called Mueller's investigation "an attack on our country".

While Trump railed against the raids as "an attack on our country", Cohen offered a disputing account, telling CNN on Tuesday that Federal Bureau of Investigation agents were "professional, courteous [and] respectful". He did not disclose the reason for the court proceeding.

Daniels, whose given name is Stephanie Clifford, wants to be freed from a nondisclosure agreement under which she was paid $130,000 shortly before the 2016 presidential election to keep quiet about that encounter.
