Pep Guardiola insists he will accept any ban given to him by UEFA after his touchline antics
Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has said he is proud to have won the 2017/2018 Premier League title and believes his players deserved it.
Kompany watched Manchester United's shocking 1-0 defeat to West Brom, which handed City the title on Sunday, with his wife Carla at her United-supporting father's home before broadcasting his celebrations live on social media.
City, who rebounded from the United loss and a European exit at the hands of Liverpool by beating Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 at Wembley on Saturday, have 87 points with five games left.
By completing the job after 33 games, City have emulated the achievement of United, who secured the crown with the same number of matches to spare in 2001.
In his second season in charge, Guardiola, aided by the vast financial backing of City's Abu Dhabi-based owners, has created a sublime team that helped him become the first Spanish coach to win the English top-flight title.
In order to prevent City from being crowned champions for a few more days, United had to avoid defeat against bottom club Albion at Old Trafford.
"It's the same feeling as the first time, you can't describe it", Kompany told Sky Sports.
"So you kind of want to hold on to this feeling now, it's awesome". It is hard to speak about Manchester City for me, but what Pep Guardiola has done is unbelievable; to win the title with the football he plays is great.

Still, he said, even if a person can not pay everything he or she owes, it's better to file it that day than not file it at all. Viruet says avoiding penalties are important, but it is equally important to get the credits that you are entitled to.
"I had that feeling when I woke up this morning, you know", he added. "That has happened. We have to try to focus on our games".
"I'm buzzing, over the moon, so happy". I've never been able to retain a title and I want to see if this team has it in it to be even more successful.
City scored 93 goals and lost just twice all season.
"We've won the league for you, Man City, Man City", West Brom's fans chanted after the final whistle. There's still work to be done before we see the best from the team.
"It is one of the first things I noticed within the first month", he said.
"Winning the Premier League is going to be one of the best three seasons I have ever had as a player and as a manager".
"I noticed within the first month that if I'd met him at 18 or 20 [years old] then I would've been the ideal player for him", Kompany said. Like, we all know that City fans are plastics, but you'd have thought these totally-not-CGI supporters would've shown their faces over the course of a season where Pep Guardiola was spanking teams for fun.
Mourinho slams inconsistent United after shock loss
Having lost just two games all season, it's a remarkable achievement to win the title in April itself with five games remaining. The loss enable them to be crowned champions as Sports Bonus from 12bet predicted early this season.
