Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium packs incredible 51200 ISO dual camera

Sony's dual camera Xperia XZ2 Premium takes ultra-low-light photos

Talking about the specifications, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with the Xperia UI laid on top.

"The phone has dual camera setup with 19 megapixels rear camera having Exmos RS sensor, 1/2.3" sensor, f/1.8 aperture G Lens, 1.22μm pixel size, Predictive capture and 5-axis stabilization along with 12 megapixels secondary monochrome sensor having 1/2.3" Exmor RS sensor, 1.55μm pixel size, f/1.6 aperture G Lens. It marries a 19 MP color sensor and a 12 MP monochrome one, which is meant to enable "ultra low light capture" (Huawei uses the same color-monochrome trick on its high-end phones). With this new addition to the flagship family, Xperia brings this highly advanced technology to the palm of your hand. During still photography, the XZ2 Premium can reach a maximum ISO of 51,200 and for shooting videos, as high as 12,800. Using both sensors, you'll be able to introduce bokeh effects such as blurred backgrounds or take monochrome photos with a better blend of blacks and whites. This offers excellent low light performance at user's end. It also has an ISO 51200 sensitivity for photos, and 960fps slow motion video recording.

The aptly named Xperia XZ2 Premium pays particular attention to optics and display compared to its brethren, featuring dual lenses on the rear, a first for a Sony smartphone. Thanks to this display you can enjoy your own 4K HDR content (since this is the only smartphone capable of both creating and viewing 4K HDR). It sports a 5.8-inch 4K (2160x3840 pixels) HDR Triluminos display with the X-Reality for mobile engine. With the IP68 certification, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is also water and dust resistant and has front-facing stereo speakers. The handset will receive its juice from a Type-C USB 3.1 Gen. 1 standard port, meaning that data transfers are going to be relatively high at 5Gbps but not as high as Gen. 2 standard. The IP68 rated chassis of the Xperia XZ2 Premium measures 158 x 80 x 11.9 mm and weighs 236 grams. It has a 3D glass surface which surrounds the exterior, creating a seamless finish that's comfortable to hold and easy to carry. Things change a bit on the front as there is no 18:9 display as the Xperia XZ2. It'll be sold in two colors: Chrome Black and Chrome Silver.

Pakistani troops killed, 5 injured in border clashes with Afghan forces
The ISPR statement further said that the officials were reviewing fencing arrangements on the border when the incident occurred. Afghanistan does not recognize it as an worldwide border and has objected to new fortifications being built by Pakistan.

Other improvements over the Xperia XZ2 launched last month in the United Kingdom include a bump-up to 6GB of RAM, and a greater battery capacity, 3,540mAh compared to 3,180mAh.

The XZ2 Premium also has an improved 13MP selfie shooter. It is backed by a 3540mAh battery with a Smart Stamina feature, Qnovo Adaptive Charging and Battery Care that are claimed to enhance the lifespan of the battery. There is also Qi wireless charging on board.

Sony plans to sell the Xperia XZ2 Premium starting from Summer 2018.
